It's a dress for Liza, with a crocheted top and fabric skirt, with a crocheted ruffle at the bottom. If you want more detail than that (or a picture of more than just her back), you'll have to visit my other blog:

It is the truly Lazy Mamma that considers braided hair to be a craft project.
ReplyDeleteYOU ever try to get the kid to hold still long enough to braid hair? Christ, it takes a lot more effort and coersion than making one of those Easter Bunnies I'm selling.
ReplyDeleteSoooo cute! Where do you come up with this stuff?
ReplyDeleteI stole the idea for this from a dress on display at Birds of a Feather, the quilt/yarn store that sells my patterns locally. Yet another reason I won't be selling this pattern - I didn't come up with it myself, I just figured out how to duplicate something I saw already finished.
ReplyDeleteDon't feel bad about the hair - it takes me a good ten to fifteen minutes to comb out my daughter's hair in the mornings before school because it's so tightly curled. I actually wanted two girls, but after I realized how much work it would be to do two girls' hair in the mornings, I'm glad I don't have to worry about my son's hair.
