My latest quilt

Made using some of my grandmother's handkerchiefs ...

And silk hydrangea petals from Bella Nonna.

Yes, it's an unusual design, primarily due to the fact that I screwed up a couple of years ago when I first started attaching the butterflies to the blue fabric. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, even if it is a little, um, hexagonal.

Ummm... I guess these are not handkerchiefs for sneezing. They don't appear to be handkerchiefs for suit pockets. For those of us who are more prosaic, where would be the intended application of these handkerchiefs?
