Okay, this picture inspired me! I thought if you could grow green basil in Ohio, I should be able to grow it in Delaware. So far the basil I bought at the end of April at Del States Herb Sale is yellow and spindly. This morning I set out to hit the garden centers: all the basil was yellow and spindly. Amish Greenhouses: yellow and spindly. Gave up and went to the local orchard for asparagus, which they didn't have, and found GREEN basil! Success! I will now move the container of basil into a more sheltered location and cross my fingers that it stays green, like yours.
