YOU ever try to get the kid to hold still long enough to braid hair? Christ, it takes a lot more effort and coersion than making one of those Easter Bunnies I'm selling.
I stole the idea for this from a dress on display at Birds of a Feather, the quilt/yarn store that sells my patterns locally. Yet another reason I won't be selling this pattern - I didn't come up with it myself, I just figured out how to duplicate something I saw already finished.
Don't feel bad about the hair - it takes me a good ten to fifteen minutes to comb out my daughter's hair in the mornings before school because it's so tightly curled. I actually wanted two girls, but after I realized how much work it would be to do two girls' hair in the mornings, I'm glad I don't have to worry about my son's hair.

It is the truly Lazy Mamma that considers braided hair to be a craft project.
